To practice pottery on the wheel, and perfect my skills, I challenged myself to throw 15 bowls in the exact same size and shape. Ideal size for tea, sidedishes, salad or yoghurt.
during the project I perfected my skill to create same sized objects on the wheel. It looked easier than it actually was.
I explored the textures that overlayed glazes create under the influence of the kiln fire. Discovering the beauty of imperfection taught me to accept the true character of clay, and to let go of perfectionist expectations.
